Day Four, Phoenix

Spent the day in Phoenix. Toured Chase Field, checked out Copper Square, and saw a RoadRunners game. Left Prescott Valley before 7am. Was able to catch the 9:30 tour of Chase Field (formerly known as the BOB). This is where the Diamondbacks play.

Take a good look at these colors. They are changing for the 2007 season to red and black.

Chase Field holds about 49,000 seats. During the tour, we visited the rotunda, the dugout, the Lexus Club, visitor's clubhouse, batting cage, and more. Scroll on down to view some photos.

Here you can see the new colors on the banner on the light post.

Yup, this is one big ballpark. This is taken from right/center field looking in towards home plate. The roof was open today. The sun treats the grass poorly in the off season. It was quite dry.

Here's yours truly in the dugout.

And, the visitor's club house. It's quite clean during the off season. More of the new logo on the TV screen.

And, the swimming pool. It's smaller in person than what it looks like on TV.

After the ballpark tour, I headed over to US Airways Center to see about getting a ticket for the evenings Roadrunner game. Ticket office was not yet open so I headed to the hotel to check in.
